Frankston Hospital
The Frankston Hospital redevelopment is a major healthcare infrastructure project delivering a new 12-storey clinical services tower, expanded emergency and clinical services, and additional patient capacity for Melbourne's south-east.
Engaged by A.G. Coombs, Mulgrave Insulation was tasked with delivering thermal, acoustic, and fire-rated insulation services across the project. The scope included approximately 20,000 metres of pipe insulation, 35,000m² of duct insulation and more than 2,000m² of FyreWrap fire-rated systems installation.
Mulgrave was selected for its ability to deliver a compliant, safety-focused installation while remaining agile and responsive to changing site conditions and labour requirements. At peak delivery, Mulgrave maintained a workforce of 18 personnel on site to support project demands and programme requirements.
The project required careful labour planning and material coordination throughout the delivery programme. Weekly labour forecasting helped maintain workforce availability, while Mulgrave's established supply chain relationships and understanding of the construction programme assisted in managing short-notice material requirements and maintaining project momentum.
Working closely with A.G. Coombs and other project stakeholders, Mulgrave delivered insulation solutions across a technically demanding healthcare environment, maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and programme performance throughout the project.
The project was successfully delivered with zero safety incidents and compliant installation outcomes achieved in line with project timelines and specifications.
