Metro Martin Place Station
The Sydney Metro Martin Place integrated station development includes the new Martin Place Station, two new buildings above the station, underground pedestrian connections and broader public domain improvements in the Sydney CBD.
Mulgrave Insulation worked with A.G. Coombs to deliver pipe and duct insulation, including metal sheathing to pipework, as part of this major underground infrastructure project.
Mulgrave’s scope included the installation of insulation and sheathing to chilled water and heating water systems, servicing close to one hundred multi-zone air handling units, along with central and satellite mechanical plantrooms.
With works taking place below ground, the project required careful planning around site access, material handling and coordination with other trades. Limited underground storage meant deliveries had to be closely managed, while programme pressures and staging requirements made communication and documentation critical throughout the project.
To support efficient delivery, Mulgrave maintained regular coordination with the client and other trades, closely tracked work progress and ensured documentation and stage sign-off requirements were kept up to date. This disciplined approach helped manage interfaces between trades and support smoother delivery within a constrained underground environment.
