TIMELINE

CLIENT
Box Hill Central
The refurbishment of Box Hill Central’s southern retail precinct involved upgrades and replacement of major plant serving the existing shopping centre complex, along with construction of a new dedicated plantroom to support the new Coles store.
Mulgrave Insulation was engaged to deliver insulation works across the redevelopment, supporting both new plant infrastructure and services upgrades within the retail environment.
With the shopping centre remaining operational throughout the works, delivery required careful planning around site access, logistics and public safety. Mulgrave coordinated works to minimise disruption while maintaining safe working conditions within a live retail environment.
Mulgrave’s scope included more than 500 metres of PVC-cased exposed pipework to new central plant areas on the rooftop carpark and within the Coles plantroom, more than 1,000 metres of foil-faced pipework lagging within the ceiling spaces of the new Coles store and redeveloped mall area, and more than 300 square metres of external lagging to new ductwork serving the Coles store and new tenancies.
Working across plant areas, ceiling spaces and tenancy-serving ductwork, Mulgrave delivered a range of insulation applications to support the upgraded mechanical services infrastructure across the precinct redevelopment.
